1-2-3: Living Like a Gentleman in Film

Cathy Whitlock @Catwhit
via Interior Design Chat

Last night I participated in a fantastic online chat hosted by Barbara Segal & Interior Design Chat via Twitter with a special guest host - Cathy Whitlock.

Yes, the Cathy Whitlock - author of "Cinema Style" & "ReDesign", not to mention a really inspirational blog of the same title.

So as usual on the 1-2-3 post, where I find inspirational design schemes and pair them with objects while focusing on a specific trend. In this case, I wanted to focus on design schemes that would make any Gentleman feel welcome and of course I had to choose some of the stunning movie set designs referenced in the chat: like "Sleeping with the Enemy", "Wall Street" and lastly "Sherlock Holmes" , which are paired with some unique finds objet d'art from Bonhams' - "The Gentleman's Library" auction which takes place this morning in New York.

Auctions are always another great choice for buying one of a kind pieces at fabulous prices, and if you like any of these lots, don't wait - the auction goes live today so head on over to Bonhams (Sale 19415 - The Gentleman's Library - New York, 16 Nov 2011 starting at 10:00) and bid!

Enjoy your movie night everyone, and thank you again for an amazing Interior Design Chat.
